The firm custodies client assets at Merrill Lynch due to their renowned execution and client service capabilities along with their world class research. In addition, Bergin & Co. has access to three other sources of bulge bracket investment bank research as well as several major independent providers.
2. Research Intensive & Process Driven
In an investment world characterized by undisciplined asset allocation, managers of managers and fund of funds, Bergin & Co.'s offerings provide a unique and stark contrast to this herd mentality and the resultant lack of accountability. The individual equity, asset allocation, and hedging strategies employed by the firm are the product of 30, 50, and even over 100 years of primary & secondary research.

3. Interest Alignment
Bergin & Co. does not provide any commission driven products. In fact, the firm is not licensed to receive commissions of any kind. The firm also prides itself on complete transparency.
Bergin & Co. receives payment for its services through predetermined management fees based on the level of assets under management, performance fees through it's investment partnerships and annual flat fees. Fee structure is negotiable and structured with interest alignment and degree of service paramount.
Our Founder - Sean A. Bergin
As well as founder, Sean is a portfolio manager and founding member of CGS Partners, LLC and the CGS Hedged-Equity Fund, LP. Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Bergin was a founding principal and Managing Director of Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management, LP (previously YMSR Advisors, Inc.). Over the last decade he spent time at both Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley specializing in the research and implementation of concentrated equity strategies. Mr. Bergin has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
In addition, Mr. Bergin acts as an independent financial and investment consultant to the Whitemarsh Police Department (PA) and the Lincoln Fire Company (PA).
Jack Yampolsky
Jack Yampolsky, CPA, is a portfolio manager and founding member of CGS Partners, LLC, and the CGS Hedged-Equity Fund, LP. Since 1990, Mr.Yampolsky has concentrated on commercial activities, principally as an investment manager for real estate companies and investment trusts.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and Finance. Mr. Yampolsky is a Board Member, Public Savings Bank (PA), and has been an executive and/or principal of companies in the mortgage, real estate, insurance, and oil & gas industries during his career.
Philip Yampolsky
Philip Yampolsky, Esquire is a principal and founding member of CGS Partners, LLC and the CGS Hedged Equity Fund, LP. Mr. Yampolsky advises the fund in the areas of compliance, business operations, and portfolio management. He has been engaged in the continuous practice of law since 1981.
A graduate of the Widener University School of Law, he was a founding partner and principal of Hopkins & Yampolsky, P.C., where he practiced until 1996. Since that time Mr. Yampolsky has been the principal member of The Law Offices of Philip Yampolsky located in the suburban Philadelphia region.
