Veripax Financial Management specializes in Fee-Only asset management and comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, and small businesses. VFM’s principal, Jerry Verseput, has an extensive background in business, investments, and strategic planning. Our relationship-oriented approach includes a detailed assessment of goals, priorities and risk tolerance, and a customized portfolio designed to meet your financial goals with lowest possible risk and cost.
Our Philosophy
There are several core principles that guide our approach to financial planning and investment management. A summary of these principles is given below.
- The goal of financial planning is to be free from financial worry, not to gamble in hopes of a huge return
- Client interests always come first
- A financial strategy should not be so complex that the client can not understand it
- Trust must be earned every day
- All fees and expenses should be fully disclosed and understood by the client
- Fees and expenses directly impact a client's return and need to be kept fair and reasonable
- "No Pain - No Gain" does not apply to investments
Our Investment Style
Our investment style involves investment “management”, which means we don’t set up a portfolio and then sit back and see what happens. We also don’t believe that “buy and hope” is the best approach to managing risk. The market goes through regular cycles of uptrends
and downtrends, and it doesn’t make sense to us to hold on to investments out of principle when
the market is clearly in a downtrend.
We use low-cost Exchange Traded Funds and no-load mutual funds to control investment allocation across all major sectors (Energy, Technology, Healthcare, Fixed Income, etc) and make buying and selling decisions based on a proprietary method that removes emotion and guesswork. Although our specific method is proprietary, the concepts for determining whether an individual sector is in an uptrend or downtrend are widely documented and accepted.
Our Financial Planning and Investment Management Services
We are a Fee-Only, financial planning and investment management firm, which means that we will never accept commissions or referral fees from anything we recommend. We follow the CFP Board of Standards' financial planning process.

Our President - Jerry Verseput, CFP™
Jerry is the founding principal of Veripax Financial Management, LLC, and is a NAPFA-registered, Fee-Only financial advisor. His approach is to thoroughly understand his client's overall goals, concerns, and values in order to develop customized financial strategies that strike a balance between superior performance, acceptable risk, and the greatest probability of success.
In addition to holding the CFP® certification, Jerry holds BS and MS degrees in Engineering and is a member of NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors), the nation’s leading organization for Fee-Only financial planning professionals. Jerry combines his financial and technical background, and a deep desire to remove financial stress from
his clients, by taking an active approach to client portfolio management.
As a former engineer, Jerry constantly challenges the status quo and believes that financial advice and portfolio management must go beyond simply recommending mutual funds. An acceptable portfolio management strategy must be historically and statistically sound, must work in a variety of market conditions, must be in the best interest of the client, and must make logical sense. Jerry employs a management strategy that takes all of these conditions into consideration.
Jerry is knowledgeable and proficient in many areas of investing and investment strategies, including mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds, collar-protection for individual stocks, hedging strategies, income-generating strategies, and stock option strategies. With a wide variety of techniques to choose from, Jerry can develop
customized investment plans that are not limited to one technique or investment type.
